Syphons per DIN 16282 U-form, form B, and trumpet form, form D, have a welding connection for the pressure tapping on the process side and a threaded connection on the instrument side. In the industrial standard versions, threaded connections are also available for the pressure tapping on the process side. U-form syphons are intended for horizontal pressure tapping; trumpet-form syphons are intended for vertical pressure tapping. Inside the syphon, condensate is collected, which prevents the ingress of hot media into the measuring instrument. We recommend filling the syphon with a cooling separating liquid before commissioning the pressure line.
The model A-AI-1 and A-IAI-1 attachable indicators are the ideal solution for an on-site display with simultaneous signal transmission. Due to its open programmability and easy installation, even for transmitters already in service, the attachable indicator can be easily and quickly added without difficulty. An additional power supply is not necessary. An additional power supply is not necessary. The instrument is configured using three buttons which are located under the front cover. A logically structured menu guides the operator through all the necessary programming steps using simple characters on the LCD panel. It is possible to set the indication range and both offset and slope correction. In addition, if required, a filter can be activated and set in various stages. The filter suppresses short spikes and thus enables the easy readability of the display. All programmed parameters are stored in an EEPROM and are preserved in the event of power outage. The model A-IAI-1 attachable indicator has been developed specifically for use in hazardous areas. This attachable indicator can be combined with Ex transmitters and also with a repeater power supply (e. g. model IS Barrier) or an Ex galvanic isolator, thus enabling its use in zone 1 areas. The attachable indicator has its own integrated self-diagnostics, which continuously monitors that the key components of the instrument are working properly. The integrated self-diagnostics, as well as the reporting of an over-range or under-range condition, ensure high operational safety. With its robust and compact plastic case, the attachable indicator fulfills the ingress protection IP65 and is thus exceptionally suitable for a wide range of industrial applications.
106D Differential pressure gauge are diaphragm operated to ensure reliable indication of pressure difference between two inputs. High and low pressures are applied on either side of a diaphragm. The resultant deflection is transferred to the gauge case through a unique motion – transfer mechanism and a SS movement. The diaphragm displacement is kept minimum to achieve high repeatability. The pointer movement and dial are fitted in a weatherproof SS case. Snubbers are part of the process connections, which protect the instrument from process pressure fluctuations. High and low switching for alarm can be provided with adjustable cam mechanism to actuate one or two microswitches. The diaphragm is protected fully from over pressure through a seal valve assembly
Cooling elements are used when the medium temperature would exceed the permissible temperature limit of the pressure measuring instrument. Through air circulation and heat radiation at the cooling element, the medium temperature is lowered sufficiently so that the temperature limits are not exceeded and any possible temperature error is reduced. The cooling element can also be used for warming very cold media, provided that the ambient temperature is higher than that of the media.
120 Differential Pressure Indicator has a rugged design for industrial use to measure the differential pressure in a filtration system which indicates directly on a single gauge dial. A specially designed magnetic movement allows the instantaneous sensing of both pressures while completely isolating the gauge function from the pressure chamber without the use of mechanical seals. Unlike ordinary differential pressure gauges, these instruments can be supplied with switching facility through a reed switch to initiate an alarm signal or system shutdown. One or two switches can be provided to open or close on either rising or falling differential pressure. Switch setting is easily done through an external adjustment.
The snubber is adjustable (modification of the crosssectional flow) and can thus be adapted individually to the respective operating conditions. A readjustment during operation, if required, is possible at any time. The pulsations and pressure surges in the medium, occurring e.g. in compressors, steam engines, hydraulic presses, tensile testing machines etc., are largely compensated by this snubber. This considerably increases the service life of the pressure measuring instrument and improves the reading accuracy

Diaphragm seals are used to protect the pressure measuring instrument from aggressive, adhesive, crystallising, corrosive, highly viscous, environmentally hazardous or toxic media. A diaphragm made of the appropriate material provides for the separation from the medium to be measured. Thus even the most difficult measuring requirements can be met by combining measuring instruments with diaphragm seals. A fluid inside the system, which can be chosen to suit the particular application, hydraulically transmits the pressure to the measuring instrument. Almost limitless application possibilities exist due to the large number of available variants, such as diaphragm seal designs or materials. The type of process connection (flange, threaded and sterile connection) and the basic method of manufacture are important design differentiation criteria. For further technical information on diaphragm seals and diaphragm seal systems see IN 00.06 “Application, operating principle, designs“.
Award-winning in design and functionality The successful design and the excellent functionality of the WIKA switch family were already confirmed by winning the “iF product design award” for the pressure switch model PSD-30. The robust LED display has been designed using 9 mm high characters (the largest possible) and with a slight incline in order to make reading the flow as easy as possible from greater distances. The 3-key operation makes simple, intuitive menu navigation possible, with no need for additional assistance. The menu navigation conforms to the VDMA standard. Free from wear The FSD-3 operates on the basis of the calorimetric measuring principle. This guarantees a wear-free flow measurement without any moving parts in the medium.
In addition to the various applications for float switches for vertical installation (model FLS), the model HLS horizontal float switches likewise offer innumerable possibilities to monitor and/or switch levels in order to indicate minimum/ maximum levels. The float is attached to a supported, swivelling lever and moves with the level of the medium being measured. By means of a permanent magnet, fixed to the end of the lever, when a preset switch point is reached, a reed contact (inert gas contact) within the contact pipe is actuated. By using a permanent magnet and a reed contact the switching operation is non-contact, free from wear and needs no power supply. The functioning of the float switch is independent of foaming, conductivity, vapours, bubble formation and vibrations. The signal processing is universal. Direct connection to PLCs, NAMUR connections, signal amplifiers or contact protection relays is possible.
IPSD Differential Pressure Switch can be used, to monitor choking of filters in a lubrication system. High pressure bellows can be connected to the inlet of the filter and LP side bellows to the outlet of the filter. The differential can be set at desired differential pressure which is adjustable between 4.3 to 64 PSI. As soon as the pressure difference between the inlet and the outlet increases above the set difference of pressure by 2.8 PSI, the switch will operate and changeover will take place to give a signal. It will changeover again when the difference of pressure falls to the set difference of pressure to stop the signal.

RT Series of Pressure Switches utilize seamless bellows as the sensing element. Simplicity of design and ease of installation has been stressed for reliable use, even in applications where shock and vibrations are present. The sensing element can be used for a variety of process fluids. For corrosive media, viscous fluids and slurries, RT pressure switches perform well in conjunction with diaphragm type chemical seals. RT Series of Temperature Switches have a vapour filled thermostatic element, which consists of a sensing bulb, capillary tube and a bellows element. The entire element contains a charge which reacts to temperature variations at the sensing bulb, so that pressure on the bellows increases on rising temperature. The bellows movement due to this increase in pressure is utilised to operate the switch. Available in various ranges to control temperature upto 300°C, with high over temperature limits. RT temperature switches are available with a selection of capillary lengths. The vapour filled system features small bulb sizes making installation easy. Wherever, bulb of temperature switch is exposed to pressure, corrosive fluid or high velocity, a thermowell must be used. Threaded or flanged thermowells, with length and materials as per application requirement are available. RT series switches have an excellent record backed by our responsive manufacturing facility. Special application assistance is always available. Applications include pumps, compressors, filters, evaporators, heat exchangers, lubrication systems, hydraulic systems, marine equipment, heating and air conditioning equipment, turbines, generators, circuit

The model A2G-25 air flow meter is used for measuring air flows of gaseous media in ventilation and air-conditioning applications. The air flow is measured by determining the differential pressure and multiplying it with the K factor. The K factor depends on the ventilator used or, when using pipe/duct measuring probes, on the size and number of probes. The K factors of all radial ventilators from common manufacturers are already programmed in the menu of the A2G-25. When using the model A2G-FM measuring probe or a different ventilator K factor, this can be quickly and easily entered in the menu of the instrument. Electrical analogue output signals for both measurement parameters (DC 0 ... 10 V or 4 ... 20 mA; adjustable in the instrument via jumpers) or the digital Modbus® versions enable the direct connection to control systems or the building automation system. The measured differential pressure is also shown on the LC display and transmitted via the analogue or digital output signals. Thus the A2G-25 combines two measurements in one instrument. The LC display and the clear menu navigation enable a time-saving and simple commissioning. With the A2G-25, air flows up to 200,000 m3/h and differential pressures up to 7,000 Pa can be measured.
The standard version is designed with two pointers and a gauge pressure scale. The pointer for the minus connection is connected to an additional moving dial. On the scale of the moving dial, the differential pressure (± 50 % of the main scale's full scale value) can be read directly. Alternatively, in the version without additional moving dial, the differential pressure is not indicated. In the version with a subtracting movement, the differential pressure is indicated with only one pointer (the individual pressures of plus and minus connection are not displayed). The variance of scale versions ensures an optimal readability of all operating parameters. The models 731.12 and 733.02, with wetted parts from stainless steel, have been specifically designed for the requirements in the process industry. For harsh operating conditions (e.g. vibration), the instruments are also available with an optional liquid filling.

Thermocouples without thermowell are particularly suitable for those applications in which the metallic sensor tip is mounted directly into bored holes (e.g. in machine components) or directly into the process for any application with no chemically aggressive media or abrasion.
Thermocouples in this series can be combined with a large number of thermowell designs. Use without a thermowell is not permitted. A wide variety of possible combinations of sensor, connection head, insertion length, neck length, connection to thermowell etc. are available for the thermometers; suitable for almost any thermowell dimension.
Cable thermocouples are particularly suited to those applications in which the metallic sensor tip is mounted directly into bored holes (e.g. in machine components) or directly into the process for any application with no chemically aggressive media or abrasion.
Resistance thermometers without thermowell are particularly suitable for those applications in which the metal sensor tip is mounted directly into bored holes (e.g. in machine components) or directly into the process for any application with no chemically aggressive media or abrasion. For mounting into a thermowell, a spring-loaded compression fitting should be provided, since only this can press the measuring tip into the bottom of the thermowell. Otherwise a potentially critical force could be exerted on the measuring tip. Mounting is usually made directly into the process. Fastening elements such as threaded fittings, union nuts, etc. can also be used.
The model TR22-A resistance thermometer is used for temperature measurement in sanitary applications. The process connections meet the stringent requirements, in terms of materials and design, of hygienic measuring points. With increased hygienic requirements for the ambient areas around the measuring point, a stainless steel head is available in an optimised hygienic design. This enables easy cleaning of the measuring instrument, particularly for splash zones in food production.
The model TR22-B resistance thermometer is used for temperature measurement in sanitary applications. To integrate it into the process, the patented thermowell model TW61 (patent, property right: no. DE 102010037994 and US 12 897.080) is directly orbitally welded into a pipeline.
Resistance thermometers of this series are used as universal thermometers for the measurement of liquid and gaseous media. They can be used for pressures up to 40 bar (special designs to 400 bar dependent on insertion length and diameter). All electrical components are protected against splashed water and are designed to withstand vibration.
Cable resistance thermometers are particularly suited to those applications in which the metallic probe tip is mounted directly into bored holes (e.g. in machine components) or directly into the process for any application with no chemically aggressive media or abrasion.
Each thermowell is an important component of any temperature measurement point. It is used to separate the process from the surrounding area, thus protecting the environment and operating personnel and keeps aggressive media, high pressures and flow rates from the temperature sensor itself and thereby enables the thermometer to be exchanged during operation.
Wherever the process pressure has to be indicated locally and, at the same time, circuits need to be switched, the model DPGS43.1x0 switchGAUGE finds its use. Switch contacts (electrical alarm contacts) make or break circuits dependent upon the pointer position of the pressure gauge. The switch contacts are adjustable over the full extent of the scale range (see DIN 16085), and are mounted predominantly below the dial, though also partly on top of the dial. The instrument pointer (actual value pointer) moves freely across the entire scale range, independent of the setting. The set pointer can be adjusted using a removable adjustment key in the window. Switch contacts consisting of several contacts can also be set to a single set point. Contact actuation is made when the actual value pointer travels beyond or below the desired set point. The differential pressure gauge is manufactured in accordance with DIN 16085 and fulfils all requirements of the relevant standards (EN 837-3) and regulations for the on-site display of the working pressure of pressure vessels. As switch contacts, magnetic snap-action contacts, reed switches, inductive contacts and electronic contacts are available. Inductive contacts can be used in hazardous areas. For triggering programmable logic controllers (PLC), electronic contacts and reed switches can be used.

Diaphragm pressure gauges are preferably used for low pressure ranges. Through the large working surface of the circular, corrugated diaphragm element, small pressure ranges can be measured reliably. The diaphragm pressure gauges are manufactured in accordance with EN 837-3. The robust design is particularly suitable for applications in machine building, plant construction and in the water and wastewater industry. The upper measuring flange with case and the lower measuring flange are made from one cast part, respectively. The instrument is used for the measurement of gaseous and liquid media that will not attack cast steel. For the measurement of highly viscous, crystallising or contaminated media, the use of an open connecting flange is recommended. The open connecting flange has the advantage over a threaded connection that the pressure port cannot become blocked. With an additional flushing connection on the open connecting flange, the pressure chamber can be easily cleaned. Measuring systems with diaphragm elements, on the grounds of their design, offer good protection from overload, since the diaphragm can support itself against the upper flange. As standard, the diaphragm pressure gauges already feature an overload safety of 3 times the full scale value. Optionally, higher overload safeties can be realised.

The TIF series field temperature transmitters, consisting of a rugged field housing, model T32 temperature transmitter and a model DIH display, have been designed for general use in process engineering. They offer high accuracy, galvanic isolation and excellent protection against electromagnetic influences (EMI). Via HART® protocol, the TIFxx is configurable (interoperable) with a variety of open configuration tools. In addition to the different sensor types, e.g. sensors in accordance with DIN EN 60751, JIS C1606, DIN 43760, IEC 60584 or DIN 43710, customer-specific sensor characteristics can also be defined, through the input of value pairs (user-defined linearisation). Through the configuration of a sensor with redundancy (dual sensor), on a sensor failure it will automatically change over to the working sensor. Furthermore there is the possibility to activate Sensor Drift Detection. With this, an error signal occurs when the magnitude of the temperature difference between Sensor 1 and Sensor 2 exceeds a user-selectable value.
The TR30 resistance thermometer consists of a sensor tube, which can be fixed into the process using a permanentlywelded threaded connection or a compression fitting. A version with no process connection is also available. The electrical connection is made via a DIN angular connector or an M12 x 1 circular connector.
The analogue temperature transmitters of the T91 model series are matched to the specific requirements of industry. Depending on the output signal, they are particularly suitable for direct connection to evaluation instruments with voltage or current inputs such as PLC's or AD conversion cards in PC's.
